what do OCC theme bikes cost?

Anyone have any idea what Orange County Choppers charge companies for those theme bikes they build?

Im just curious to know cos they must cost a fortune for OCC to of got so massive, but the cost its probably worth it for the buyers as it includes 1hour Discovery channel advertising on the program.

Re: what do OCC theme bikes cost?

the plainest bike they ever built
was that green one that the real young kid helped make
then they sold it
i heard it sold for 60K USD
and it was pretty simple

Re: what do OCC theme bikes cost?

I was expecting a much higher cost - 60 to 100K is probably not far off what the normal builders charge (off what ive heard on biker build off)

Even though they bat them out in a week or two i was expecting 200-300K USD

I reckon they'd be $2X...... too exfuckinspensive!! especially for a fancy ass bucket of shit that looks like it 'd handle like a wet sponge and give the customer a lower back problem in about ten minutes.....but I could be wrong.......

Re: what do OCC theme bikes cost?

did yall see the dodge ram themed bike they built.....

Sr. took it down a crappy road and went "off roading" on it driving through puddles and mud and crap and they gave it more ground clearance to make it more like the truck.....

that crap was stupid right there, the look on the CEO's face when Sr. told em what he did was priceless tho. LOL!!

I refuse to ride any bike measured with a measuring tape...

They fuck up and jury rig everyone of their bikes... They are a mess no matter how pretty they may be...

Re: what do OCC theme bikes cost?

My uncle is pretty high up in the company "Flow". They make all the water jet CNC machines for OCC, so they made a bike for them. I'll see my uncle for christmas, I'll ask him how much it ran the company and end this guessing game.

Re: what do OCC theme bikes cost?

Now that they have a real tech working there, I'd ride one. But I can hire their painter, and order all the same parts they do, so why on earth would I pay them to assemble a bike for me.

I'd much rather have JJ build one from the ground up, or even a Chico. OCC are the "3 Stooges" of custom bike building.

Re: what do OCC theme bikes cost?

They were in the right place at the right time for the pr adv/ TV show & built it into
a big business Nothing wrong with that. I would bet 95% of their bikes sit in a showroom some where and are never ridden

Re: what do OCC theme bikes cost?

I used to like watching American Chopper when it first started but after a while it was clear the show was less about the Teutuls making anything truly creative or innovative than just their silly antics. Their bikes just seem to be the same old basic chopper formula with some appearance add-ons to make 'em look "themed".

Have you guys seen the "theme bike" that Jesse James did for Airstream Trailers? He made a hand-made aluminum sidecar rig with the gas tank and battery housed in the rear of the sidecar and he even took the time to build a disc brake into the third wheel. Here're some posts on it:

http://www.cyrilhuzeblog.com/2008/09...tream-sidecar/

http://www.roadcarvin.com/node/1406

Now THAT'S how you make a theme bike!

Re: what do OCC theme bikes cost?

well if your on the show then i could see it being really pricey because your compony is pretty much geting an hour of advertising. so i would say to get a logo bike and on tv would be about $300,000 bucks or more... bike dosnt mean shit when your logo is on tv for an hour or so...
