GSX-R1000 2008 running lean

So I swapped a decat for my bike and it started. The RPM build up is super fast at idle and the bike runs fine at cruising speeds but immediately after I twist the throttle to full it bogs and does not gain speed. Could my machine be running lean when I open it to full throttle? It also has a yoshimura GP evo2 exhaust and a stock air filter. Can a decat cause the bike to run too lean? 02 and pair valve disabled also.

THANKS!

Yeah, definitely.

You didn't remap it with an ecu flash or piggyback unit? You should do so ASAP.

That is dangerously lean... I would not ride it until you get it tuned.

I've seen a 20:1 AFR once,then the piston ventilated itself :)

There is one thing I can't wrap my head around. I should richen the mixture in the 6th gear and rpms over 6000rpm. If I richen the mixture in that rpm range, does this affect the lower gears as well if I drive slower but with a smaller gear in that rpm-range?

Do not do this yourself unless you have access to a dyno with a sniffer.

Bring it somewhere to be custom mapped. At 16:1-20:1, your motor is on the verge of shitting the bed.
