Re: RIP Chris Cornell :(

Yea, it seems really weird. They said they found him dead with a "strap" around his neck? WTF?
Just played a concert two hours earlier and tweeted a picture of the venue saying something like "Back to rock city"
It doesn't appear he was in a suicidal state of mind.
Foul play?

Yeah I don't know mate , many famous people can put on a very believable 'front' and suffer major depression or addiction...

He has had addiction problems before , but I don't think that's what caused it ... he has been sober for over 10 years !!!

He has a young family , really is sad ... not to mention loosing such a talented guy

My wife and I had planned to see soundgarden live a couple months ago at a small venue and forgot to buy tix the day they went on sale and missed out. Now I'm really bummed.

Re: RIP Chris Cornell :(

The wife and me had the rare chance to meet him after a concert , very down to earth and genuinely interested in talking ...

He played an acoustic show to around 150 people ... we were 3rd row from the front , i will never forget how amazing his voice was , none of this new shit that's all computerised ... just raw talent ... still gives me goosebumps !!!

Sound garden and nine inch nails are my favourite bands ... it's truly a sad day for all fans of rock

A great talent and a very unique voice. I remember jamming out to Superunknown all summer long when it came out. RIP

Re: RIP Chris Cornell :(

Was surprised to hear this. I dont listen to much rock, but soundgarden caught my attention. It was one of the few rock bands I listened to from time to time. My condolences to his family, friends and fans.

Was listening to outshined a few days ago.

Re: RIP Chris Cornell :(

I only just found this thread. I love sound garden and I use to learn all their songs on guitar when I was young...

I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to the song 'Pretty noose' anymore....
