CBR500R Or Ninja 650 for Starter Bike?

Basically what the title says, which one would be a better starter bike?
Also if you all have any other recommendations i'd be willing to hear you out as well

Re: CBR500R Or Ninja 650 for Starter Bike?

As a former CBR500R owner, I really rate this bike as it has enough HP to keep you interested whilst learning your craft.. Check out the CBR500 forum for more info or you can PM me.

The only down side is the stock suspension which with all entry level bikes are basic with little adjustment but can be upgraded.

Best of luck.

Both are great starter bikes but I have no experience with either. I did however have an EX500/Ninja 500, rode 32,000 miles my first year on that bike and had a lot of fun! I would say you can't go wrong with either.

Hmm, so i guess its really personal preference? I know the 650 is the faster out of the two and the 500 is the more nimble one out of the two.
If it matters im 6'2 200lbs, if that effects anything.

See if you can sit on them for comparison. Not like just sit on it but in riding position for 30+ minutes, then get the one that is most comfortable. Get brochures, compare the two, read reviews of both bikes online, then buy the one you feel is best, they are both from good companies.

I mean, he's been reasonable. I'd just give him a temp ban and perma-ban the other account. If he fucks up again, then permaban him.
