The timer for my pool pumps has a freeze protection on it. You can set the temp for when to kick the pumps on.... it goes up to 40. So I wonder, do people think "Maybe I should push it up to 40, you know, in case it's colder in the pool than it is outside.".

You'd be amazed how many people think a blanket will keep an inanimate object warm.

I've seen people reference a reservoir sock heating up brake fluid when the bike is cold so the brakes work better too lol

wow lol no I know throwing a blanket on something doesn't do anything unless heat has or is being generated which I was talking about the motor and what not being hot then throwing a blanket over to keep it warm for a few hours longer

To be fair, I guess as it's warming up in the morning, the water can still hold a colder temperature than the ambient air temperature. Eh, whatever.

G'mernin, Boredz! .

If my mother ever sends me a text, I'll collapse of a heart attack. I"m not 100% sure she even has a cell phone but I could be mistaken.

Took a final exam last night. Law class. Went better than I was expecting. One of the questions was, "What is a tort?" One of the answers was, "A pastry which always has a fruit filling but never a cream filling." It was temping to mark that just for giggles. The instructor was outstanding all semester. The kind of guy who should be a politician.

Seriously thinking about getting back into it for a law degree. Might be fun. MBA would be more useful, though. Regardless, I'll sit out for a semester, at least, before jumping back in, IF I decide to do it. Best of all worlds would be to go get the MBA and then go to law school.

Another final exam on Thursday for Finance. Wish me luck. Shouldn't be too problematic, actually. The instructor is retiring and I'm convinced he wants it to be over as much as anyone!

Christmas is coming. Bleah.

Keep the rubber side down. (Too cliché, I know.)

--Wag--
Grats.. I was originally going to go to law school after finishing my accounting undergrad...but after being in the accounting program, I decided I wanted to go the route of CPA..

2 finals left for me (not so worried about em) One tonight.. One tomorrow

My couch is terrible.. Been contemplating replacing it with my futon from the other room, but the futon sits lower than my tables.. so I dunno..

So I'm having a discussion if you will with a friend & we're talking strictly cardio/running.

One of us says you have a sensible breakfast as that will help you fuel your run.

Another one says to just drink some water, do your run, then have a sensible breakfast.

The point being is if you are running on an empty stomach, your body is burning what it can for fuel rather than burning the breakfast you have resulting in losing more weight. (and by more weight we don't mean that you're going to drop 10 lbs a week, just in general)

Hopefully that made sense. Comments?

I've always heard that it is better to eat within 20 minutes after your run, and back in basic training we would always wake up, do pt, shower, and then immediately go eat a massive breakfast...

Something light like a granola bar before a run is fine if it makes you feel better, but anything more will slow you down is my experience. Plus I feel sick if I eat right after I wake up.

Ha. I will probably have a couple beers tonight at home. (Which actually helps to decrease your bad cholesterol) I don't want to go out though. That is for tomorrow after the test until I pass out.

And decreases stress (for me anyways) Of course then I would get up early and study for a few more hours in the morning before the test for that last minute cram session

Same. Helps me relax. There is just too much information that we are presented with to be able to cram any information. If you fall behind, good luck catching back up. Sometimes we have guest lecturers come in and that is the info you save for the morning of the test.

I can't work out with out having something in my stomach. Could I if I HAD no other option, yes.

If I have the time, small meal before workout. Say a yogurt/juice, when I wake. Then when I am on my way to the gym I take my pre-workout, which is normally 40 mins after I wake up.
