NEW 2016 750 gixxer...slip on? or ??

Hi members.
i just purchased a new 750 gixxer 2016. i could not pass on this deal...the price was right comparing it to other bikes.

now....i want to purchase a slip on for my bike, but the catalyc converter, well is a complete one piece pipe.

im open for any ideas, suggestions, this will be my street bike. as i already have three other bikes.

Re: NEW 2016 750 gixxer...slip on? or ??

Congrats, I just bought a 2016 750 too

I bought the MotoGP edition and it comes with the Yoshimira R11 slipon. I think it is a dealer fit option so you could get it from Suzuki.

I have a K6 600 now and it's on an Akro, but on the K6 it thankfully deletes the cat. Would be ideal if I could swap it over as the sound is worth it

The great thing about not searching is you get to interact with other members. I would go full exhaust if I were you but that all depends on what you're using the bike for and if you're willing to spend an additional 300 for a PC5

Yes but it gets old when the same questions are asked again and again and again and again and again and on and on and on.

Don't forget the $300 for a dyno tune on top of the exhaust and PC.

3-5 HP is the usual in reality.

Often threads on power gain are initial dyno runs with their exhaust and air filter already installed, it will show worse than stock initial dyno run, then they compare that to the corrected dyno run.
That will show a 4-5 HP loss and compare it to a 4-5 HP gain.
Then they're all "I GOT 10 HP OMG!"

That is the same bike I'm looking to pick up. I'm thinking Akrapovic slip on. Just like the deeper tone. They are expensive though.

Re: NEW 2016 750 gixxer...slip on? or ??

I just picked up a 2016 gsxr 750 with the MotoGP bodywork, but over here in the UK they were fitted with a Yoshimura R11 slip on.

What do the US models get fitted with?

Yeah, can see why you'd want to get a slip on now!

Re: NEW 2016 750 gixxer...slip on? or ??

Mine comes with an OEM stock pipe.....Im trying to get rid of the Catalyc converter/rasonator....but it is welded to the headers. I dont want to go with a full system, this will be my street bike.

Im thinking on cutting it from the weld and inserting a slip on.

Why do you need to remove the cat? The fueling is about perfect on these bikes. Is it just for noise?
