Hello gixxer community!
I really need your help!
I'm having an issue with my 07 gsxr 600. I was out on myself a few weeks back having a chilled ride when my bike suddenly went completely dead. I got my bike back to my garage and had a look at all the basic things it could be. I realised my main 30 amp fuse was blown and thought I'd found the fault... How wrong was I!! I replaced the 30 amp fuse but as soon as I put a new fuse in the block it blows instantly! I scratched my head and came on here looking for some threads, I found a few older ones which seemed to match my bikes problem. Almost all of them was saying it's probably the stator or R/R.
Barring in mind this is my first bike and have only been riding since August I am a complete amateur in bike mechanics BUT I gave it ago and took my bike apart and managed to get to my stator and R/R. My stator looks ALMOST as good as new (slightly brownie in colour) and my R/R looks brand new, both from the outside. Whilst I have my bike panels I have also spent a good few hours looking over every cable and connector I can get too again finding no obvious damage.
Again, having come back to these forums I can see a fair few people saying to try using a a voltage reader. I can get my hands on a reader but have no clue how to use one. Not only that would I even get a reading from one with the bike having no power what's so ever, like I said earlier in the post my main fuse is blowing without even having the key in the barrel.
Thanks for reading my post and I really hope one of you geniuses can help solve my irritating problem!
