Suzuki GSX-R 750 K7 vs Suzuki GSX-R 600 K8

Hello,

After introduction http://www.gixxer.com/forums/showthr...39#post4686439 I thought it's time for my first question.

Could you please help me with my dilemma, I'm seriously thinking of buying either a Suzuki GSX-R 750 K7 or Suzuki GSX-R 600 K8 (Used). The price is pretty much the same, give or take a couple of hundred . We're talking about bikes from the first owner, in very good condition, with relatively low mileage, with all the paperwork, owners manual, service book...

What would you choose, and why? I know that K8 600 is more refined design, although not by much, and has sharper looks, on the other hand, 750 K7 is well..... a 750! Legend, arguably the greatest Super Sport bike on the Planet.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Best,

Nemanja

750 as many will agree that it is the perfect balance of weight and power. There is really not much difference between the K7 and K8 so that in my opinion is negligible but that is opinion.

100% 750.. unless your insurance is very high. I have had 600 and 750 on the street and track and 750 always felt nicer in power delivery. If you also do any two up raiding then the 750 will also feel much nicer then the 600.

Hello everyone,

Thank you very much for your opinions. So, 750 it is.

@rpm-cycle

Difference in insurance cost between 600 and 750 is negligible, although this type of insurance covers you, only when the other person is responsible for the accident. As far as I know, in my country, you cannot have your bike fully insured, where everything is covered, even if you are responsible 100%.

@all

Could you please take a look at these two bikes, and tell me what do you think? It's from a specialized site, dealing with Used vehicles (if it is, in any way, conflicting with the rules of this site, I apologize, and moderators, please feel free to delete this).

Thanks!

P.S. just out of curiosity, is this a factory color scheme for a GSX-R 600 K8?

I've never seen this color scheme before.

Thanks,

Yes, the blue Gixxer is in excellent condition, almost NEW, hence the somewhat steep price. Owner also has the stock exhaust, If I choose to buy it with the factory system, and he keeps the Akrapovic, he will knock off 500 of the price.

Best,

N

Ask questions before you finalize anything. It has a full system but does it have a fuel commander? If so, was it dynoed and mapped? If no to either, I would get the stock exhaust and pocket the 500. Then decide on what to do or not to do.

If it has a PC and was dynoed and mapped, keep the after market or you will need to remove the PC to go back to stock mapping or will he keep the PC as well?

Some things for you to think about.
