Re: I want more horsepower!!!

Can throw some Yosh kit parts at it cams ect. A few guys with older Gixxers have had good luck with KWS motors apparently they can build some monster motors that are still streetable if you are going for that. I think it was Grumpy 427 or some one on here did a thread for the Yosh cams. Might be able to find it with a search.

Also curious what your use is? If you are doing a drag bike a Turbo Busa or Zx-14 are a much better choice.

Re: I want more horsepower!!!

Are you serious bro?

I cannot even utilize all the power on the track...

If you want more power get a busa, sounds like that's more your style anyhow.

Re: I want more horsepower!!!

If you want more horsepower, ditch the slipon for a full system, and drop in some cams.

If you want the bike to accelerate faster, change your gearing. -1/+2 is a pretty big change, and what I would recommend.

If you want the bike to be faster all around, go do some track days and road race schools. Becoming a better rider will make you and the bike faster than any mod you can throw at it.

This should do the trick. Ask Jay how he likes it.

Hi there. I have an 09, and did a few mods.My buddy Nigel did the custom port work and blending. I went with a full Yosh TRC_D system. Yosh R cams and a full map. After the first go i decided to swap the intake cam to a Web cam to get a lot more bottom end mid power, not to concerned about peak power but more power in the rpm range when i use the bike. The combo resulted in 185 HP and 83 TQ. we also went down one tooth on the front . The bike is a handfull, and way more bike than i am capable of riding to full potential.. At the end of the day, its what i wanted, and it is a blast to ride.

Has anyone added an x-tre to an 09-11 1000? Have read up with a few mixed reviews so wondering if there's anyone that's dyno'd and seen any difference?

Re: I want more horsepower!!!

Yes i have the XTRE on mine as well, and it was worth a few hp etc, i would have to go back through all the dyno sheets to see? What it does, is it puts back in all the initial timing that Suzuki took out. From what i remember, at around 6000 rpm the XTRE doesnt offer anymore performance. the dyno graph was the same after that. Again i would have to look at the sheets. It is worth the money IMHO.
