Nick's 250 thread

I figured that rather than occasionally post random threads about my bike, I might as well make a designated thread for myself. Hooray.

My bike is a red/black 2006 GSX-R 1000 that I purchased back in the beginning of 2016 with some weird slip-on, but otherwise stock. Oddly enough, without even planning this, ALL of my gear matches the bikes (except the black gloves my friend gave me to replace the white and red gloves that I had lost in a move).

Since I purchased it, I have added an Akropovic full exhaust, a Bazzaz fuel module, and now a Power Commander 5.

I mean, it's a 250.

Carnage, oldgixxer and Todd_Sails like this.

2006 GSXR 250 with an Akrapovic full exhaust and a flashed ECM. Slow-lane certified
2000 Honda VTR 1000. Practically a 250.

Re: Nick's 250 thread

Also, I just sent my ECU to Schnitz Racing for a flash that will remove the 1-4 gear timing retard, along with other stuff, and will be taking back to The Cheeseman to have it tuned.

While it's down, I plan to do some minor maintenance on it. The weather here has been shit, so I haven't been inclined to do anything.

I'm going to install Ohlins forks and rear shock, forged Brembo master cylinders, and carbon wheels. Then I'm going to park it and ride it to Starbucks once a year to brag about my $8,000 in aftermarket parts.

Holy shit, what kind of person do you envision me as? I usually just throw down nails and use a bat to take out mirrors.

Just ordered some Goodridge Superbike Pro brake lines for my bragging rights. Can't wait until I get to spend a bunch of time bleeding the lines.

I haven't seen any mention of stickers yet....you'll need to add some if you are really serious about extracting HP outta that thing.
