GSXR Gel Seat

I'm looking around online trying to find the best price for a gsxr gel seat for the k5 1000. Ive been on ebay but really dont want to go that route. Does anyone know of a good place to get one? And yes I looked through the search results.

Thanks in advance

Re: GSXR Gel Seat

I have the gel seat that came with the bike. Don't get it, the "gel" is rock hard still, just not as narrow. Get a custom upholstery shop to redo your current seat.

The more and more I look into this it seems that the upholstery shop is the way to go...

Another option is sargent. They rebuilt mine and modified the shape a bit to better fit me. used a memory foam also. I went from 200 mile day before discomfort set in to 300+.

Re: GSXR Gel Seat

The gel seat vinyl on mine aged and cracked after a few years. Looking at where I'd say it was perspiration affected mainly. I have a feeling even the stock seat material is more durable.

Re: GSXR Gel Seat

I just put the stock seat back on and it's more soft and comfortable than the gel. The gel seat cover material is also more slippery, so under acceleration you slide back on the seat more.
