Looking at a K3 GSXR 1000. 25k miles on it, stock except for a bolt on muffler. Stock bodywork in surprisingly showroom condition, even still have rear fender, original wind screen, truly not a scratch. Only upgrades are the shock and fork that were rebuilt by GMD Computrack with premium part for a 200lb street rider.
Tires are Michelin Power 3 with about 1000 miles on them, they shows virtually no wear down the center, but no chicken strips either.
Included is a Power Commander that has never been installed or programmed. Also a Battery tender
Chain is new, top grade parts with under 100 miles on that.
Owner has receipt that shows the chain and sprockets, oil change, brake fluid flush 4 years & 100 miles ago. Truly a well maintained, never wrecked example
Now the minus. The bike has been sitting for 4 years garaged. Owner says he started it up every couple of months and it always fired right up and ran perfect but about 2 years ago the battery was dead and it has not started since then.
I'm trying to figure out what the costs would be to service the bike and put it back in service. I am thinking of course all fluids, perhaps coolant hoses, a new battery and what about the tires? 4+ years old
My first thought is to go as high as $4500 minus the cost of servicing the bike
