2006 GSXR 600 No fuel pump noise no spark. "CHEC" light is in the LED display. I have tested the "RUN" switch. it is getting power. i have checked the side stand switch and it is in spec. i also bypassed it with a jumper wire. i.e. i just connected the green with the black wire on the wire harness side. the flasher/side stand relay seems fine. i found another one and tried that in its place. nothing changed. i can feel the relay click. the starter turns over but no spark and no fuel pump "hum" i also replaced the battery. all fuses are good i even replaced them just in case there was something i couldn't see. i did the relay test for the fuel pump relay and it clicked and was in spec. i also looked at all the connections/pins for relays, fuses, speedo, ecm, side stand, and battery grounds/power.
any ideas would be great.
am i missing a test? is there another item i am forgetting? :scratch:wtf:dunno:cursing
Check your TOS that is right side up and functional. Just to throw it out there, "CHEC" could also be cluster not communicating ECU for 5 seconds or longer or toasted ECU. Have you had any electrical issues with the bike? The K6/7 are notorious for rectifier malfunctions due to it being located right behind the radiator.
On some models (E-02,19, or 24 country codes), there's a capped connector, where you're supposed to plug in the OEM alarm system. This connector is supposed to have a jumper installed that feeds the ECU from the O/W lead coming out of the "RUN" switch. If you have an O/G wire going to your dealer mode connector and this has no voltage when you see 'CHEC' and can't start though you should be able to, and if the O/W wire at the ignition coils say does have battery voltage at the same time, then that jumper is most likely your problem.
The capped connector in question is somewhere behind the seat I think. It can be distinguished by the cap and the fact that all wires going to it are black (without a white stripe). Search the archives for more information. I think there are a couple of threads with photos of it.
