Pondering CBR250R with CRF250R motor swap/conversion

Hey guys, you know the saying, "its more fun to drive a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow"? Whether or not you have, I bet everyone who rides a liter bike on the street agrees that most of the time were stuck driving fast bikes slow, even if we're going fast relative to the speed limit.

now anything with under 50hp is going to be considered slow compared to a liter bike, but a 350 lb street bike with a properly geared CRF250R motor in it would fuggin RIP!! Perfect solution.

The biggest potential problems: mounting points and drive gear alignment. Has anyone ever looked into this before? From what I hear the CBR engine is a derivative of the CRF engine, but that doesn’t mean crap in terms of mounting points…

The other option, swap the CRF internals and possibly head into a CBR block…that way you could still have the street trans. Otherwise if a swap would be the way to go, might as well see about a 450 then. The overall goal is power to weight, with the weight part being as small as possible.
