Hello everyone I've had such a great weekend. I had fun riding in the sun Saturday and had a barbecue. The best part of my weekend was today. My bike wouldn't stay on and kept turning off. I have no idea why it does this. Here's the lowdown on it:
It first happened saturday night. I drove to the city and realized my lights were dimming. I pulled over tried turning it off and back on but it wouldn't turn on. I waited about 45 mins and I was able to get about 5 mins worth of riding before it turned back off. I was able to get home safe.
Here's the strange part about it. I am assuming these bikes do not have an alternator(google searches) so they run completely off the battery. That being said I got a new battery 4 days ago from advance auto parts because the old one would take some time to turn the bike on(the bike would have no problems staying on with a crappy battery).
I tried charging the bike and moving it but it only works for a few mins. Same issue as before. I took the battery to advance auto parts and they said it was on low battery and that I had to charge it for 24 hours. I ended up swapping it and it had the same issue. It seems that the bike depletes the battery fast for some reason. I had to go through 3 batteries in the past 24 hours.
The recent changes I have made are as follows:
new battery
new tail fairing
different brand of oil(if that matters)
This seriously makes no sense either advance auto parts sells sh^t batteries or my bike is eating through these batteries fast. What could have caused this?
