Swapping a 03 gsxr 750 engine into a 03 gsxr 600 chassis?

Does anyone know if it is possible to swap a 2003 gsxr 750 motor into a 03 Gsxr 600 chassis? If so, what parts need to be replaced along with the engine? ECU, radiator, wiring harness, throttle bodies, etc???

You answered your own question there! LOL You don't need the radiator or the wiring harness. You do need the throttle bodies and ECU.

You doing the change? If so you will need the socket to get the back motor mount off.

YES you need the 750 wiring harness also. the 600 radiator will do just fine though. if its like the 1K swap you will have an extra hose outlet on the 600 radiator on the right hand side of it. just plug it up and it will work fine. i did the 600 to 1K motor swap in my 02 model, so if you have any issues feel free to send me a PM and ill walk you through it.

I thought the 03, 600 and 750 had the same wiring harness? The 1000 isn't even close. If not my bat sorry.

It's not hard to do at all. If your good with tools, It takes me about 2 hours to pull a motor.

im reetty sure the ECU plug on the harness is diffrent. most used motors still have the harness attached anyways. once you get started on it, you will see just how easy it is to do the motor swap. check out www.hybridracing.ca for a motor mount kit that may work fo ryou and make life alot easier.

The mounts won't line up if you do a swap from a 600 to a 750 motor. Oddly enough, the 1000 motor swap is pretty straightforward. As mentioned, www.hybridracing.ca is the ticket for engine conversions for our gixxers.
