Re: Picked up a new Ruger

Talked with someone different at Ruger & they had me return the pistol to be fixed. I got it back & the safety is normal now. The safety also got a more normal feel after I removed the safety lever on the right side & replaced it with a small bushing.

Re: Picked up a new Ruger

I put on a Tandemkross compensator & one of their "Halo" charging handles, I think this is the most fun to shoot pistol I've ever owned. The Tandemkross stuff is super nice quality. Their "game changer" compensator totally eliminated muzzle flip & the halo charging handle lets you do a fast slide rack & not pinch yourself. Also makes it super easy to hold the slide open if you need to.

Looks like you're tightening grip as you pull the trigger.

I agree. New to shooting so I was still understanding it. Lots more to learn.

Thanks for posting that, I hadn't heard that before. I can't believe anything shipped with a safety that needs to have a warning label attached to it! I just read the recall, sounds pretty damn familiar! Mine doesn't do it since they sent it back to me, but it still has an odd mushy feel to it. It doesn't feel like a normal safety. According to my SN it needs to go back a second time now. I still love this thing.

I wanted to say how awesome Tandemkross is, both with top shelf product & as a company. I had a bad round (it apparently tumbled as it left the muzzle) blow the end out of my compensator. Tandemkross happily replaced it even though ammo is obviously not their fault. They said their product has a lifetime warranty & it's not a problem. Too bad more companies don't treat their customers like this.

The best thing is to learn from your mistakes, and keep putting rounds thru your firearm....
