Graves GSXR Garage

Got a tech question on your GSXR? We'll do our best to help out.
Get technical info from the Graves Motorsports Staff and Race team. Occasionally one our own Race Team mechanics will step in and take on tech questions that can only be answered by the pros.

Lets keep this thread strictly GSXR tech and we will get some questions answered. I will also be adding some standard technical advice that is relative to Graves products and/or just plain fun to talk about.

Thanks, Taige

This PCV is still very new and even though I am learning more about everyday it is still very ....fresh. Regarding your question Im a little unclear on if you are referring to the speed error in the software of the PC or if you mean the speedometer error. If you mean the differentiation in the actuall PC software then yes the PC is completely capable of knowing the speed in which the motorcycle is traveling plus it has the tools to accomodate physical changes on the bike itself.
The speedo on the other hand would have to be fixed with a speedo healer. That would be the only way I am aware to change the OEM gauge. The speedo will not have anything to do with the tuning of the motor cycle however can be annoying and repair by the speedo healer. Thanks, Taige

Hey Taige, Do you know if I can put an 08/09 750 full low mount exhaust on my 06 750? You guys have any experience with this? I love the way that thing looks! Thanks,
Tony

Well, the verdict seems to be that we don't think it will, but nobody has tried. I'll let Taige get in here when he gets back and add any info he might have.

Hey guys, sorry for the delay on this.

Here is the info I have on this. We have only fit these to 08-09 GSXR600-750 however I have had a few customers that have fit them to 06-07 GSXR600-750. They said they were a direct fit.
Now I cannot back this up nor be 100% and that is why we do not advertise this. I will try to invesitagate this further and if I get a chance to fit one i will do it in a second. Thanks, taige

Re: Graves GSXR Garage

I ordered my full graves low mount two weeks ago and it showed up in the mail yesterday! It was like Christmas I was so Happy! This system is awesome! Bolted it to my 06 750 with no problem. The fit was perfect! Thank you!

Thats excellent man. I know how you feel. I put a full low mount on my bike and it put that finishing touch that the motorcycle needed.
Not sure if you have ridden it yet but that is the real gift ;-)
These bikes are fast but when you put these full systems and Power commander on it changes the whole dynamics and really increase the power and fill in the dips on the power curve. Let me know how it works out for you.
If you have not done so you should consider getting the smog block off plates for that. Thanks, taige

Re: Graves GSXR Garage

Yeah, I have ridden it and it is pure sweetness. I also have a bazzaz Zfi for it. It's awesome. I'm definately considering the block off plates too. Thanks Taige.

Re: Graves GSXR Garage

Hey Taige,

I just purchased a set of Graves Smog Block Off Plates for GSXR1000-2005 and was wondering if you have a step-by-step/ how to or sticky which you can forward me. Note that I am going to be removing the Servo and CA carbon canister at the same time.

Based on these changes/ removal, what sensors or wiring do I need to look out for or plug. Don't want to have a FI error light to show up.

Thx.

Re: Graves GSXR Garage

Hello All,

New member here, Novice backyard machanic. Just put a Graves low mount Titanium full exhaust system on my K9 GSXR 1000 a few days ago. I now have an FI light on. The instructions said this would happen and that it has no effect on the performance of my motor but now I can't flip threw my displays (only show mileage meter which is the display I was viewing before installing the system ). I have removed the servo motor and wiring harness. Although I am still researching a fix, I thought this would be a great place to seek valid insight. Is there someone out there familiar with this issue and how to fix it?

Graves was the only way to go. Sooooo Glad I went with this exhaust!i!!!
