Re: Help!! Bike wont start just clicks
Can I join in on the topic or ask if you ever figured it out? My -98 600 left me at work that way one afternoon. Tore it apart in the parking lot, only to find that the start circuit was mint but the engine was unbelievably flooded and hence pressure in cyl 2 & 4 too big for cranking.
Later I tore the carbs apart and found the o-rings around the needle valve seats leaked a bit. I ordered a rebuild kit with new o-rings, seats, needle valves and float bowl gaskets. I checked that the needle valve and seat was sealing properly when the float was in it's highest position under what I reckon is "normal" fuel pressure from the pump. After reassembly the bike still floods like a m****r and won't crank when flooded enough.
Anybody think the problem could be in the fuel pump not restricting pressure? Is it something I should know about bdsr 36 carbs? to get a picture of the amount of fuel leaking, I drained the engine of roughly 0,5 liters of fuel today while trying to figure out the problem.
Has anyone had similar problems? Many thanks
