Saw two sets on EBay a couple weeks ago but they were 16.5" and I think the auction ended early.

Re: anyone have marvic wheels

^I saw those too, they were a good deal. That guy is on the forum time to time.
They are the 5 spoke, I'm not sure if different spacers are required and the hub? He says they came off a gsxr 750. He didn't give me a year but they are my stock size.

I think these were taken from a magazine article. the suzuki wheel weight is from the K5-6 era

Re: anyone have marvic wheels

Good find on the chart. Thar's a huge difference more so compared to the srad wheel. Considering an oz. on a 17" rim is equal to 25 pounds of rotating mass at 100 mph.

Re: anyone have marvic wheels

the Marvic Pentas have the V style spokes, Penta IIs have the channel and the silverstones have the H or I beam style spokes..

dunno what Suzuki wheels are listed in the chart but I think the SRAD/Busas are among the heaviest of the lot?

either way 7 lbs of rotating mass is a lot, specially at like 150mph, lightweight rotors even better, everything performs better

+1 for piuma. their PoI is pretty good actually.

If they are 17" and a good price jump on them. Some of the race classes are getting rid of the 16.5" configuration next year so tires for 16.5" wheels will slowly disappear.

The Suzuki wheels listed on the chart I think were k5 gsxr 1000. Srad/busa wheels were much heavier (i had the weight of those somewhere but cant find it) so it will be an awesome upgrade that you wont regret.

Re: anyone have marvic wheels

I have the Penta 2's which run a much thicker spoke to the Penta, a fair bit heavier than the Marchesini's I have. Apparently the 2's were designed for road circuits and bumpy tracks similar to The Isle Of Man.

Im speculating the Penta's 2 were designed this way in response to the fairly spectacular (and horrifying) Dunlop/rc45 crash in 94.

Cost marvic a decent payout to dunlop in the end for that failure.

Re: anyone have marvic wheels

Well, I'm getting the wheels. Should have them in a week and a half. Ill have to do a side by side weight comparison with the srad wheels.
