I've rang round a few garages n they said they wasn't sure about it being the cam chain tension because normally there are noisy on cold start n I only get a rattle once it's warmed through. Can this be my cct or something more serious? I hope not :-(

Re: New member total noob just bought a 600srad

I'm off Wed + Thu so send me a PM if you want and I can have a listen in person depending on what i'm up to.
Do a search and you will find many threads with Sradiator/Ccmhunt/Freak (to name a few) describing the sounds and when the engine will make them.
IIRC its more on decel than when the engine is under power as the slack will slap against the insides.

I bought mine @ 24730 and the cct was shot. It never made the sound when the PO took it in until about the 4th time and they figured it out. He didnt want to spend the money to fix it, so he took the repair cost they quoted him off the asking price (they quoted ~$350..i got it done for ~$220)

Got the bike in the garage yesterday took it in the work van (no licence yet) and it fell whilst driving!!! Was gutted. We strapped it down but obviously not correct.

Re: New member total noob just bought a 600srad

The spluttering could be due to the carbs not being pressurised via the airbox.

The y shaped hose not connected?!?!?!

Take your pick,

or call Daz from melted sliders!

Re: New member total noob just bought a 600srad

Nice looking bike mate...you have my sympathy regards it falling over in the day, I manage that one with one of my bikes a few weeks ago.

Im sure the CCT swap will have her running sweet as, mine only did it a few times from cold but dont take any chances with it, get it changed ASAP.

Cheers what made it worse is that i didn't drop her myself if that makes sense it was in the back if a van and I didn't strap her down proper.
Got her in the garage now getting sorted carbs being cleaned aswell.

I've been wanting to swap my front forks for Usd's are there any that just bolt on like from the newer gixxer's or the 750 srad?

I'm not sure tbh when I was looking at her after she fell it seemed to be a spray job?
