Had a quick search and did'nt see one....only searched in the SRAD section, as thats all i'm concerned about.
Did'nt want to revive my old build but wanted to share and see what others have done, rather than seeing posts of people asking questions of issues they are having.
If there is then :suicide :dunno:bitchslap:biggrin

Anyway, here's what I done.
Awhile back I got a replacement front fairing, as mine was broken.
Painted it and was quite happy with the results until I laquered it....for some reason, the tank looked textured, rather than smooth as before :banghead
Put it down to a faulty canister.
Today I sanded it down again and repeated process but with a fresh can of laquer.
Put the decal Scooby601 very kindly sent me on the front as well to finish it off(Thanks again mate!), also put the decals on the tank that i'd had missing for ages.
Here's the pics;

I know they don't quite match but doesn't bother me right now.

So what have you guys done?

^nice! Got your last pm, just let me know when you are ready.

It never leaked in stasis, just would get some oil on the frame and pipe after a day at redline in expert sessions.... I am not sure it would have leaked on the street, just not the way I want to send out a motor.
It's laying on its side curing right now, torqued down. That way no oil bath interferes.

It still hurts to see this engine go to someone else....you're a lucky man Williamhbonney!

Yes I use yamabond to seal the gasket to the cover so that the gasket comes off with the cover. It usually makes the gasket reusable and I would rather have clean the gasket off of a cover than a motor case halves if it needs replacing.
What you see took me maybe 20 minutes.

Thanks!
My stock gasket also came off glued to the cover...maybe in factory they do it like that?!
I thought the liquid gasket was meant to fill that tiny gap where the halves meet...if you do that way it's because it works and wont leak, I presume...

BTW, do I really need to remove all the traces of the old gasket or else it leaks?

Drained and replaced all of the brake fluid on the thou today; front and back (how does brake fluid get looking so milky anyway?)
Shit, nice tight pinch on the stoppers now...
Battery on charge, now to get that lump out of the way to work on the SRAD.
Shit's happening now!
Cheers, Ad

Have most of my winter project finished, 03 forks, calipers, R1 M/C (Brembo) which came with Pazzo shorty lever. Had forks resprung and valved for my weight along with new seals. Still have to run lines and bleed brakes. Next project is to hook up quickshifter!

It's completely reversible so if I grow tired of it it's easy to remove!!

So, SRAD1.....I know you like it, and that's cool. But think about your mod:
You added weight.
You impeded air flow and added wind resistance.
You made it harder to see anything potentially wrong or easily reach anything without removing fairings.
To me this is an anti-mod, but to each their own.

Srad1 visually it looks ok its not something i would do to my bike.CCM,s perspective is track day orientated so I understand his point with regard to weight, air flow & accessibility. For street it's cool and goes well with the colour of the bike. Like you said your the first to try it & you can always switch back if you like.

You all are making me even more anxious to get home!

Didn't do anything to the bike as I'm still not home, but I blessed off on a new vehicle for Xmas to replace the minivan.

Pretty little wifey was trying to chose between a spread of nearly identical Jettas- and chose the black one, to match my bike- because we're sickeningly cute like that. :wait

So, we bought a car as an accessory for a motorcycle.

Do you have to speed to enjoy riding? I don't know if I could ever get to that point. I mean, I've seen porn, so I know people can get bored with pretty fantastic things. I just can't imagine it happening to me.

That sucks. I love both riding and sex, I'd hate to be so tired of one that I needed something crazy just to enjoy it!

Since I'm using sex as an analogy for riding, I guess that means that racing is like an orgy, while speeding on the street is like autoerotic asphyxiation. If I needed that level of excitement just to get off, I'd at least choose the one that nobody would want to make fun of me for. :dunno

But, that's just me.:phhht

Jobless...orgys are expensive..It is cheaper to choke myself for a bit.
:lmao

I hate to hear that times are tough for you, but you've got a good sense of humor about it.

As to riding in Hawaii: I've been home for two weeks out of the last 12 months, and when I finally get home later this month, it's going to be raining all the time. When the sun comes out... yes. Yes, you're right to hate. :lol
