i'ma getting about 120..but my timing is off, i have cut my yoshi can so it's shorter and it's a streetfighter (read - no more Suzuki Ram Air Direct or SRAD)
i think these bikes should getting around 170-200 miles to a tank. I used to be able to get to NJ and or Philly on a tank...leaving from manassas, va.
btw - F. Richard...man you are WAY off that bike in ur avatar...awesome!!
Hehe... thanks... actually, I'm TOO far off the bike, but there's a reason...
Can you see the blue on the pavement in in front of me in the lower right corner of the avatar?
That's actually the painted box for the drag strip. This was taken at Firebird Main track in Phoenix, and the corner is a nightmare if you go down.

That's well after we're on the straight. You can see the same blue sections of pavement as well as the wall to our right - that's our run-off. There's also the metal plates where they put the starting lights.
Point is the blue stuff and the metal plates are SLICK! So, the idea is you hang further off your bike so you can stand it up more as you accelerate out of the corner. Essentially, you nearly clip another concrete wall on the left as you exit the corner and run wide all the way to the outer wall to keep from spinning up the rear as you accelerate onto the straight.
The following link is a quickie webpage with pics from my mock race in 1/08 when I got my CCS license at the same track:
There are some pics that give you a much better idea of what that corner is like...
Sorry for the thread jack!
