I grew up riding a 90 gsxr 750. kinda wanted to restore one, I've bought a few there were issues with them so I sold them.
I found a 89 1100 parts bike for $100. I bought it for the swingarm set up for a different project bike. Motor is bad. it's missing front fairings carbs, exhaust, and some small things here and there. It needs plenty of love don't get me wrong.
I found an 89 750 for about $1000 guy has had it about 20 years he said.
about 3 hours away is a b12 motor $600.
I'd like to have a newer motor so I was thinking a bandit 1200 motor.
I know there will be some other expenses to pop up but I'd be in it about $1700 if I picked up all three to make one.
Will a b12 motor even fit the 750 frame? I thought I heard/read if you put an 1100 in the 750 frame you can't get the valve cover off.
Is the b12 motor even worth the swap?
if you had your choice how would you build it?
