Re: Performance Machine - cush

just curious,,how is that a cushed front sprocket???,,looks exactlly like a stock front sprocket,,,unless the teeth are NOT attached directly to the spline section,,,,which i would think would sheer off pretty quickly,,,anybody ever take that rubber off and see if it's detached from the spline section???

Re: Performance Machine - cush

I agree with Mario; I haven't seen a front sprocket with a cush drive before and, to me, that looks like a chain damper and not a 'cush'. If you have any more pics of it showing how it works, I would certainly be interested in seeing them.

Re: Performance Machine - cush

That's no cush on that c/s sprocket, it's a damper like almost every kawasaki zx ran oem in the 90's.

Re: Performance Machine - cush

exactly what i thought,,,it's simply a damper to cut down on chain noise,,not a cushed front sprocket,,LOL...allthough,,,you never know they could exist,,but i suppose it would need some dam strong rubber,,,

These beauties are on a ZX600d I picked up for a song

Can I make them work on my '86 1100?

I saw one like yours in the FB group and wanted to see if anyone had any input on these. I have been looking but can't seem to find another set up like the one I have. Not sure what to make of these.

Hmm... maybe the fellow on the FB group is someone here on gixxer.com? Strange coincidence eh? What are the odds?

BTW - this pic was taken last night for someone on FB, with the name Michael. Maybe you know him? ROFLMAO

Re: Performance Machine - cush

My boss said it was Hyperpro or something like that, some guy in Northern California. He said those wheels were failing and the Highway safety guys wanted them recalled and the guy disappeared. Lee Shierts had a set on his ZX7R race bike and they put him on his head.

That may be the name...I used to remember what company made them. I remember a story about some guy racing a Ducati having one fail on him causing a bad accident. I just kept this one and turned it into a wall clock for all these years.

Hypertech Dominator is the name that leaps out for those wheels, but the Googler can't find them. Troy341
