Re: Suzuki Super Grease A, vs. Super Grease C
Well, I'm glad you asked. I order the "other" grease, so I now have some of each. Just so we don't get confused, let's call the USA grease type "C" and the non-USA grease type "A."
The grease "A":
Comes in a much larger can...
Is a lighter tan in color, than the other one...
Doesn't seem to separate into grease/oil as much as the other...
Has less of a "grease" smell.
Other than that, I can't tell you much about it. Suzuki doesn't describe what type of grease it is, unlike on the grease "C" can, which is described as a lithium soap MP grease. On this "A" can, it's recommended uses are to lubricate the following:
Clutch release fork
Diff, side oil seal
Rear axle oil seal
Crank oil seal.
The "C" grease is recommended for :
Obviously, these greases were originally intended for the Suzuki car division... In the motorcycle manuals, they lube every last thing with the same grease, never mind what the application might be.
I have contacted Suzuki with my query, and they have failed to answer it. In fact, I never got a call back...
Maybe I'll ask a grease guy if he can at least identify the type of grease. I still have no idea about the US/Non-US difference.
