Hi, my k6 1K has been chewing a valve, we haad to cut deep in the seat to clean it up - so deep that there is no room for shim, the valve sits 0,5 mm too deep.
Been told the seat can not be replaced, it will come loose.
So do I look for a new head?
Suzuki doesn't sell the seats but they are available in the aftermarket, ex. APE. I gather that the seats can be replaced by a specialist but see the note at the bottom here. Price may rule it out.
Like @BillV posted, you can get the seats replaced from APE or any other good machine shop that specializes in motorcycles. One of my K5's spit a shim and dropped a valve in a big $$$$$ head on a 1070 engine. It can be fixed
