750 rectifier /regulator replacement

Hi there. I'm trying to replace my rectifier regulator on my 08 750. I need to undo the screws in the attached picture. These hold the bracket in place and I can't completely remove the old rectifier from the bike as the plugs get stuck. I believe these screws are 10mm hex head as a 9mm ring spanner wouldn't fit. I'm using a 10mm ring spanner as no room for a socket to try get the screws off but it just slips and start to strip it. I've used wd40 but no luck. Any ideas on what to do? Thanks.

They're just normal bolts - nothing special about 'em. If the bolt heads have already started to strip/round, I'd remove the airbox, throttle bodies, etc to get access to them with a legit socket (and order new bolts). Does the engine prevent the bolt heads from being accessible with a socket? Are you turning the right way? :lol
