I have a K9 750 and replaced my motor with a used one due to blowing the head and scuffing a piston. I reassembled everything aside from the airbox and when I went turned the key to on and disengage the kill switch so the bike primes it self and the throttle bodies actuate there is an issue. The throttle bodies on top (secondary im assuming?) open up then close and sounds like motor is trying to close the throttle bodies farther than they are allowed to and makes a horrible noise and stops. Havent tried starting the bike as I don't know if this will cause an issue when running. any help or insight on whats wrong???
Most common issues. The STPS is installed incorrectly, or the wiring for the primary and secondary TPS are reversed (not sure if that's possible on the newer models though).
there are only 3 plugs that I wasn't 100% sure where they connected. I know 2 of them had to connect to the servo for the exhaust which was removed a long time ago and the one to the fuel tank. I was under the impression that the connectors could connect to one thing to prevent missed connections occurring. Does the bike have to be running to check the FI code in dealer mode or can I do it without turning the motor over?
