Make stock exhaust louder, how do I do it?

08 750, anyone have any ideas on how I can make the stock exhaust louder without the mod being visibly noticeable to the authorities?

cut the cat off and then using a large drillbit gut the materil out of it so that its a strait through path to the muffler and then have the cat welded back ont eh the exhaust so that it looks like it was never taken off.

Just buy a '08 slipon, as long as you keep the cat on then it wont be much louder than it was stock, just a much better tone.

Maybe buy the shorter OEM slip on from a 06-07 model, like this:

It might be slightly better flowing (looks to be straight through rather then chanbered like ours) and maybe a little louder then the current 08-09 models. Well at least it sounded louder on a friend's 07' 600.

can you swap out the "muffler" from the 06-07 onto the 08 or is it connected to the cat on the 06-07?

Actually after looking at my buddies K7 600 it looks like the can is welded to the cat. You would still have to swap out the header for the complete install or cut the 08 cat out and weld this assembly in.

It comes as a assembly like this i believe:

you need to cut the exhaust off and make a 2 meter one,

i saw a cbr 1000 with a 2 meter exhaust made out of metal he was really cool guy doing burnouts in teh rain at a petrol station right in middle of 6 pumps, like nothing bad at all could happen there,

The 08 exhaust muffler is separate from the cat what is welded to the headers. On the 06/07 the muffler and the cat welded together. Just put a damn slipon on the bike.

Shift gears less often.

I rode my '08 750 with a stock exhaust for months (until I race prepped it) and the stock exhaust sounds great when you ride it hard.
