Sorry, we are not in the habit of changing screen names here if we can help it.

Used to do it, not really any more.

Re: For all new riders/thinking about riding

7 out of 10 people that buy 600cc and up sportbikes should not be on them.
We clearly see that when we go to a track day. As well as on the street and from insurance premiums.
Back when I had my shop the POSERS were great customers but would have been better off on a 250 rebel/nighhawk etc etc. Ego gets in the way of that.
Sadly we saw many 600 750 1000 1100's etc come back on the hook wadded and more often than not rider not pretty either.
Cracks me up how anyone would even want to ride on of them on the street.
Uncomfortable, poor turning radius, very little bar leverage, stiff suspension, and with a passenger i have to laugh.
Now I have gsxr's 2 of them, but i ride on track days and race days.
I ride a bmw 800 on street or my drz 400 on the street as daily riders.
Far safer easier to keep in check, see whats up behind and beside you.
Easier to manuver around in traffic parking lots etc etc.. And with a passenger you are not looking like two monkeys trying to _ _ _ _ a football. LOL
On the track you only focus on whats in front so does not matter. And you are there to ride fast. What the bikes were designed for.

Guy who is contemplating buying 600 or 250.
250 ninja is a great bike, has somewhat of more upright seating position. and fun as heck to ride.
I raced one from time to time back in the late 80's early 90's. Super fun and great practice for our big bikes.
I could spank alot of liter, 600's and 750's on the track. And when you ride one you learn importance of lines, carry speed etc.
See the newbies and greenhorns on big bikes they hammer it down the straight throw out the anchor for the corner tip toe out and pull trigger. May as well go drag racing... : ))

I always laugh when I see the squids riding in shorts and wife beater and on the pillion is their girlfriend/wife with flip-flops on. The passenger is so cramped on the back of a modern sportbike its insane, their knees are basically crunched up under the helmet. Usually makes for a double-take if the girl is petite and is wearing jeans cause you know dat ass crack is hanging out

Re: For all new riders/thinking about riding

2+2= 3? UGGH, especially when pretty girls get all messed up because of "usually: male ego maniac with no brains. I just cant fathom what little thought is put into getting on a bike that is designed to haul ass around a race track to put a almost naked girl on the back that "hopefully you care about" UGGH.
Girl in pic is likely regretting some choices made, as is the guy sitting on the ground.
The silver lining: Could have been far worse. They are alive and will walk another day.
