04/05 Tailswap Subframe

Want to do the most highly sought after mod: the 04/05 tail swap on your 00-03? Here is you chance to save yourself the headache of finding a welder and risking your perfectly good subframe

I was going to make a business venture out of this but even with a jig it took three trips to the welder to make it perfect So this is a one time deal, when this is gone I'm not having anymore made.

This will bolt right up to your Y2K bike, all you need is an 04/05 tail, passenger seat or cowl, taillight and undertail if you desire. Two cuts on the tail fairing and you are good to go. Your OEM trunk lock will bolt right up and be functional.

Ask anyone who has successfully done this and they will tell you, the welding is the most tedious part of the swap. The angles will be right and the cowl will be right.

$400 shipped in the lower 48

If only I could afford to even give you a real offer. I've wanted to do this swap since I first saw it.

I paid $100 for the subframe and $200 for weld, and that doesnt include the gas on my three trips back to get it perfect

I would be interested in this swap if it wasnt such a pain matching the paint job.

this is why I didnt PM you

I spent $300 on the tail (that included repair and filling the keyhole and colorite saturn black paint) and $90 for the tapeworks decals that are going in the trash

Its going to cost me another $100 to paint the yellow number plates on with the matching colorite paint

this is a mod for the blue and whites and the black and reds, the 04/05 paint matches up perfectly

Same boat. My blue is not the normal blue.... Or I would be on it. I'm having a hard enough time trying to match my tank, as well I have an extra passenger seat cover, that I'm using to help me match...and some other secret project you'll see soon.

Great person, great seller. If he said it works, it will. He's a perfectionist. Great guy, great seller.
